This Captain’s Choice event will feature a shotgun start at 11:00 am and promises to be a memorable day of golf for a meaningful cause, with Harbin & Burnett Law Firm proudly serving as the title sponsor.
The tournament, held in honor of Tucker W. Hipps, aims to continue the legacy of a young man whose life was tragically cut short while attending Clemson University at the age of 19. The Tucker W. Hipps Memorial Foundation, established by Cindy and Gary Hipps, works tirelessly to preserve Tucker’s memory by supporting causes he cared about.
Proceeds from this year’s event will fund scholarships and programs that honor Tucker’s passion for helping others. Funds will support Palmetto Boys State, provide scholarships to deserving students, and contribute to various community programs. These include initiatives that aid the homeless, feed those in need, and mentor students who require assistance. The foundation also dedicates resources to educating schools and universities about the dangers of hazing, using Tucker’s story as a powerful example.
