February is the Month of Love and Anderson Mall is hosting a monthlong event to help spread appreciation, positivity and encouragement in the community.
Mall guests can participate in-person or virtually in an interactive art display called #PostYourLove. Participants are encouraged to handwrite notes of love, affirmation, encouragement or even just a simple ‘I love you’ on a Post-It note and attach it to the wall located at the Food Court between Chick-fil-A and Philly Cheesesteaks.
Guests are also encouraged to share their notes on social media using the hashtag, #PostYourLove.
The interactive display, along with the mall’s Valentine’s Day-themed events such as the Bestie Bash Mommy & Me celebration on February 6 are designed to celebrate friendship, love and positivity through creative expression and acts of kindness, according to Anderson Mall General Manager Chunsta Miller.
Another way mall visitors can spread the love during the Month of Love is by participating in Repack the Backpack, a drive-thru Back to School Bash held at the mall’s main entrance on Saturday, February 27, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. The first 500 children will receive school supplies and a free backpack while supplies last. The event is sponsored by Healthy Blue SC.
“Let’s continue to show love by making the children and education in our communities a priority” Miller said.
All February events will follow Anderson Mall’s COVID-19 safety protocols, including rigorous disinfectant and cleaning practices. In addition, the Code of Conduct, posted at the Center and available online, includes the following guidelines:
- Practice social distancing and stay at least 6 feet (2 meters) from other people
- Covering your mouth and nose with a cloth face cover in accordance with state and local guidelines
- Do not gather in groups
- Adhere to each individual tenant’s COVID-19 policies
- Adhere to all federal, state and local regulations, recommendations and mandates regarding COVID-19
