Editor’s Note: Anderson SC Living is partnering with Rettew Creative to expand the audience for Storefront Stories as area businesses continue to rebuild from COVID-19. Bobby Rettew and digital media students from Anderson University’s Communications program recorded the first Storefront Story on April 22, 2021 and have since captured the experiences of almost 30 downtown businesses. Look for a Storefront Story every Wednesday here at Anderson SC Living.
What began in Josh Pritchett’s garage is today a downtown gathering spot for businesspeople, students and those in search of craft brewed coffee or beer.
Electric City Brewing is a small batch craft brewery, coffee roaster and specialty shop at 109 E. Calhoun Street in the heart of downtown Anderson. The business is housed in the former Cox Oil Building.
With a motto of “Crafted for Community,” Electric City Brewing’s goal is to provide a place for meaningful conversation to happen.
When asked what he learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, Pritchett relied, “Perseverance and hard work. As long as you keep your nose to the grindstone, you can make it through it.”
