In the Belton-Honea Path area of Anderson County, you’re bound to pass a farm or at least a barn. WSPA’s Christine Scarpelli takes us on a tasty visit to The Little Biscuit Barn in Honea Path, so Let’s Eat!

“I think I have a great location. I’m just sitting right here amongst everybody coming from this way, this way and that way. I feel like I’m sitting in a hot spot,” said Stacey Cannon about her restaurant’s location along North Main Street in Honea Path.

Stacey and her sister, Tracy, are carrying on the business started by their parents on July 6, 1984 in a former service station.

Known for its Cathead biscuits – so named because they’re as big as a cat’s head – The Little Biscuit Barn serves up a bountiful breakfast of eggs, grits and a choice of bacon, country ham, smoked sausage, chicken, tenderloin or bologna. Home fries, pancakes, fatback and homemade gravy round out the morning menu. Lunchtime patrons will find sandwiches such as BLTs, grilled cheese and all kinds of meat and egg sandwich selections.

Homemade biscuit making begins at 4 a.m., with the restaurant opening at 5:30 a.m. Monday through Saturday. Closing time is 1 p.m. Monday through Friday and Noon on Saturday.
