Anderson Interfaith Ministries (AIM) will host its Hats Off to Women Luncheon on Thursday, October 21, at 11 a.m. at the Civic Center of Anderson.
The annual event will feature guest speaker Donna McAbee, Programs and Development Manager at Kravet Inc., along with a panel discussion spotlighting AIM’s Women and Children Succeeding Program (WACS). A decorated table contest and shopping also are part of the luncheon.
With a background in Christian ministry and serving with many music ministries through the years, McAbee has been featured on both local and national radio and television stations. Growing up all over the country, she has called the Upstate home for more than 30 years. A 20-year employee of Kravet Inc., McAbee has volunteer experience that includes past chair of Safe Harbor, an Upstate nonprofit organization providing services to victims of domestic violence and their children, and as an AIM life coach.
Sponsored by South State Bank, the Hats Off to Women Luncheon raises funds and awareness for AIM’s WACS program. The program assists with childcare, transportation and more as participants transition toward an independent, self-sufficient and successful life.
