AIM Charity has distributed only about 25 percent of the money made available to Anderson County residents for rental and utility assistance through the AIM COVID Relief Fund, and it’s not too late to apply, officials say.
Anderson County received more than six million dollars in funding from the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Emergency Rental Assistance Program (ERAP), partnering with AIM Charity to administer the funds.
“This fund is for anybody that has been affected financially by COVID in the last year,” said Jordan Evans, Vice President of Programs for AIM Charity. “It is not to late to apply. Some people think they’ve missed the deadline, but there still is time. There still is hope.”
Those wishing to apply can go HERE to visit the AIM Charity website.
The website includes information on how to apply, eligibility requirements and frequently asked questions about the COVID Relief Fund.
AIM Charity also hosts informational sessions at its offices at 1202 S. Murray Avenue in Anderson on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 9 a.m. Those who want to learn more about the program or need computer assistance are welcome to attend, Evans said.
Those who want to know more about the COVID Relief Fund also can call the AIM Charity hotline at 1-833-977-RENT.
