Employers from retailers to manufacturers and more will be on hand this Saturday, July 17, from 10:00 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Anderson Mall Job Fair.
The fair will include networking opportunities, on-the-spot interviews and information on college programs for those seeking work in their field or new career opportunities. The event will be held in Center Court at Anderson Mall near Rue 21 and Kirk’s Collectibles.
Today’s job market is perfect for those who have been considering a job or career change, says Teri Gilstrap at Anderson County Economic Development, with many manufacturers, for example, having dropped some of their entry level requirements.
“There are all types of (job) opportunities right now and we’re putting a lot of focus on the underemployed,” Gilstrap said. “There are very few employers that are not hiring at some level. It really is an employee market right now.”
Here is a list of companies that are participating in Saturday’s job fair and some of their open positions:
Hire Dynamics
- Around 100 positions available
- Manufacturing, assembly, production, forklift, quality, general warehouse and administrative positions
- Pay ranges from $11.25 – $17.00 per hour
Upstate Staffing
- Material handlers and forklift operators: Sit down, stand-up, reach trucks, pacers; 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts; 15 openings
- Packaging: Preparing products for shipping; entry level; 1st-2nd-3rd Shift; 20 openings
- Assembly: Automotive assembly; entry level; 2nd and 3rd shifts; 5-10 openings
