In September, she became the first person in South Carolina to receive a medical exoskeleton from SuitX, enabling her to stand and walk on her own for the first time in 34 years.

The Pelzer Light People are back in 2021
It seems that we can’t get enough of the Light People of Pelzer. After a six-year hiatus, the Pelzer Light People returned in 2020 to bring joy in the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic. The group returned to Lebby Street this holiday season to continue the storied Anderson County tradition.
