Anderson County students named BBB Student of Integrity scholarship winners

Five high school students from Anderson and Oconee counties have received 2020 Student of Integrity Awards scholarships from the Better Business Bureau of Upstate South Carolina.

The Student of Integrity Award recognizes high school students in the Upstate who personify high character through leadership, community service, academic achievement and overall personal integrity. Award winners are selected by a panel of volunteer judges. The scholarships, which are sponsored by Upstate area businesses, are $1500 each.

“The students selected for this award were the most exceptional candidates from the group of applicants,” said Vee Daniel, President & CEO of BBB of Upstate SC. “They have demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities and a commitment to integrity and ethics. Their applications, letters of recommendation and academic achievements were the most impressive out all of the applications received.”

The 2020 Student of Integrity Awards scholarship recipients are:

  • Zoe Elizabeth Willis of Pendleton High School in Pendleton SC, sponsored by GBS Building Supply
  • Holly Lillian Whaley of Seneca High School in Seneca SC, sponsored by Toyota, Kia, Hyundai of Greer
  • Kaylin Brooke Bell of Palmetto High School in Williamston SC, sponsored by Piedmont Natural Gas
  • Greta Cambridge Tate of Wren High School in Piedmont SC, sponsored by Bonitz
  • Bryson Leanne Worsham of Walhalla High School in Walhalla SC, sponsored by Benson Hyundai, Kia, Nissan of Spartanburg
