Antique Junction opening in Piedmont on April 2
Antique Junction will open on Saturday, April 2, in the former Duke Power building at 18 Piedmont Highway, near the intersection with Highway 8. The two-story antique store will feature 5,000 square feet of space.

‘Gone but not forgotten’ is etched on several headstones in the old cemetery along Oil Mill Road in Piedmont, but for decades the gravestones in Golden Grove AME Church cemetery – the oldest dating back to 1897 – were obstructed from remembrance by trees and undergrowth.

Historic Piedmont YWCA to become new home of Piedmont History Museum
It was built in 1908 by Piedmont Manufacturing Co. as a home for single women working in the mill. Almost 115 years later, the former Piedmont YWCA is set to house the artifacts of everyday life in the mill village as the new home of Piedmont History Museum.

Antique tractor auction to benefit the Powdersville YMCA
Piedmont businessman and community leader Jimmy Wilson has donated his antique tractor collection to the Easley, Pickens and Powdersville YMCA. Proceeds from an Oct. 9 auction of the collection will help fund a Child Development and Training Center in the Powdersville and Wren communities.
Take a full moon paddle on the Saluda this Sunday
The Saluda River Rambler in Piedmont is hosting a Full Moon Paddle on Sunday, August 22. Kayakers will launch from Timmerman Jr. Kayak Launch in Pelzer and enjoy a moonlit trip up the Saluda toward Piedmont and back.
