Day B4 Father’s Day Car Show

The Main Street Program’s Day B4 Father’s Day Car Show is back in downtown Anderson on Saturday, June 19, featuring classic cars, trucks, hot rods, bikes and more. Main Street will be blocked from Market Street to E. Sharpe Street with all cross streets closed, as well.

The cruise-in style event will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and admission is free. Go HERE for show updates.

Woodburn Historic House Tea on the Piazza

If history is your thing, make plans to join members of the Pendleton Historic Foundation at Woodburn Historic House for a traditional tea service on the piazza at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 19. Enjoy tea, snacks and a special tour of the home and grounds.

An RSVP is required and don’t forget your floppy hats and fans! Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for children. Call (864) 646-7249 to reserve your spot.

American Girl Club at Anderson County Museum

Designed for children 8 and older, American Girl Club meets the third Saturday of each month from 11 a.m. until Noon at Anderson County Museum, 202 E. Greenville Street. Each meeting features specific dolls and time periods. Bring a doll, if you have one, and register to attend.

3rd Annual U-Pick Festival at Twin Creeks Lavender Farm

At almost 10 acres, Twin Creeks Lavender Farm in Williamston features five acres and seven varieties of the fragrant herb including Grosso, Violet Intrigue, Gros Bleu and Super, along with Royal Velvet, Melissa and Provence for culinary use.

Visit Twin Creeks June 18-20, from 9 am until 2 pm each day, to pick your own lavender. Pre-registration is $5 per person and $6 at the gate. Children five years and under and adults 65 years and older get in free. You may pick as much lavender as you like, with cut bundles measured in $5, $10, or $15 increments and banded for you at checkout. Go HERE for more information.

SC Sunflower Festival at Denver Downs Farm

Visit the first-ever SC Sunflower Festival at Denver Downs Farm in Anderson on Saturday and Sunday, June 19 and 20. In addition to 12 acres of sunflowers, this summertime festival offers family fun with 30+ attractions, activities and yard games, and a vendor area with many exhibitors offering sunflower themed products.

Live music is also part of the festival lineup with Spencer Rush performing Saturday from 6-8 pm and LC Branch on stage on Sunday from 3-5 pm. Go HERE for more information.
