Area anglers can fish for a cause on April 10 when Coldwell Banker Exclusive Realty & Management presents its 1st Annual Bass Fishing Tournament at Lake Hartwell.
The entry fee for the tournament is $10 per person plus the donation of a needed item for Connie Maxwell Children’s Home, the beneficiary of the event, according to Coldwell Banker Realty & Management Managing Partner Trent Smith.
Needed items include:
- Gift cards
- Laundry detergent
- Bed linens (twin)
- Comforters (twin)
- Pillows
- Cases of water
- Duke’s mayonnaise
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
“Our goal is to host one community outreach program per quarter,” Smith said. “In real estate, the success of the community is our success, and we want to find ways to give back.”
The April 10 bass fishing tournament will begin at safelight at Green Pond Landing on Lake Hartwell and continue until 3 p.m. There is a guaranteed payout of $2,000 for first place.
Food and prizes also will be part of the event, including a set of Michelin tires. Grits and Groceries will be on site at 3 p.m. selling some of its signature items, with a portion of proceeds from food sales going to Connie Maxwell.
