The Anderson Arts Center is hosting an exhibit reception on Friday, June 4, for an exciting new show entitled Pushing Pop.
The exhibit offers visitors the opportunity to experience the art of popular culture through multiple mediums by a group of artists who vary in age, experience and background.
There will be 14 different artists represented in this show including A-N-D, John Acorn, Kent Ambler, Larry Bennett, Adam E. Burgess, Patricia Crandall, Kimberly Day, Peggy Tanner Day, Steve Garner, Diane Hopkins-Hughes, Gary Huntoon, Dustin Lee Massey, Carey Morton and Ryan Roth.
In conjunction with Pushing Pop, artist Katie Kameen will have a solo show in the Atrium Gallery. Her colorful sculptures are created by playfully experimenting with mid-century and contemporary plastics.
The public is invited to attend the reception for both exhibits on June 4 from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. Both exhibits will be open to the public through July 15.
