If you love a good yard sale, you don’t want to miss the Town of West Pelzer’s 5th Annual Mile Long Yard Sale this Saturday, October 2, from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
Stretching from the West Pelzer Fire Department at 101 Main Street to the intersection of SC Highways 8 and 20, the annual yard sale is a walking event with parking available at West Pelzer Town Hall, Odell Community Center, La Palma Mexican Restaurant and churches along Main Street, said West Pelzer Town Clerk Paula Payton.
“We’re expecting a big turnout,” Payton said. “We try to schedule the event on a Saturday when Clemson has a home game, which really helps the crowd. It’s just an awesome event and everybody loves it.”
While the Mile Long Yard Sale is an outdoor event, Payton said masks and social distancing are recommended.
Adding to the excitement of the Mile Long Yard Sale is the opening of a new restaurant in West Pelzer, Payton said. Baby Sumo, a Hibachi style restaurant, is now open at 26 Main Street in space previously occupied by Antonio’s Pizza.
