The Great Anderson County Cleanup kicks off this morning as volunteers come together for the annual effort to clean up and beautify the community.
Coordinated by Anderson County Solid Waste & Recycling, the weeklong campaign kicks off with an 8:30 event and litter pick up on Monday, March 21, at 1428 Pearman Dairy Road in Anderson, the former TTI/Ryobi building. The Great Anderson County Cleanup concludes on Saturday, March 26, when volunteers and county staff will come together at the Pearman Dairy Road location for another litter pick up event.
Volunteers can obtain supplies throughout the week at 1428 Pearman Dairy Road from 8:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Safety vests, gloves, grabbers and trash bags will be provided at no charge.
Anderson County staff can assign a cleanup area or participants can select a site of their choice.
Participants are asked to call (864) 269-1001 or email sbporter@andersoncountysc.org to report bags after cleanup.
